Mother’s Day Gin Pairing, Cambridge: The Varsity Hotel and Cambridge Distillery are hosting a gastronomic supper for gin loving mothers on Sunday March 30. The evening will entail a decadent three course pairing menu which includes a rib-eye steak coated with gin macerated juniper berries, served alongside silky mashed potato and gin and tonic onions.

Mother’s Day Vineyard Tour, Kent: Part of My Kent Big Weekend 2014, treat mum to a free tour of the award-winning Biddenden Vineyards. Near the village of Biddenden, the vineyard spreads over 23 acres of south-facing slope. Biddenden Vineyard grows 11 grape varieties to produce White, Red, Rosé and Quality Sparkling wines.
This has also been the home of the traditional Kentish cider for more than 20 years pressing apple and pear juices on the farm.
