And it doesn’t cost a fortune to stay in one of them. Prices start from £40 per person per night including continental or full English breakfast, two-day entry to the Castle including attractions and show, car parking, and mediaeval-themed evening entertainment, subject to availability and based on five guests sharing a two-bedroom Woodland Lodge.

And for a limited period Kids Go Free on all Warwick Castle short breaks.

An all-you-can-eat Medieval Dinner Feast with live entertainment is served in the Banquet Hall each evening for £18.95 per adult, £9.95 per child.

All lodges offer ensuite facilities, including wet rooms, and are equipped with a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, central heating and free Wi-Fi.

Medieval-style features in the lodges and Banquet Hall, such as lofty ceilings echo the Castle’s Great Hall – wooden beams, stonework and green oak wood-styled exteriors.

The all-year-round lodges include a wooden deck and appeal to families and couples, as well as groups of friends.

Nick Blofeld, boss at Warwick Castle, said: “This is a new chapter for Warwick Castle as from July 1, we’ll offer guests year-round lodge-style accommodation to complement the Castle’s two sumptuous Tower Suites, set within the 14th century Caesar’s Tower, and our superb seasonal Mediaeval Glamping Village.”
