Blackpool Illuminations 2015 will be the best ever

Blackpool Illuminations

Blackpool is gearing up for a super bright autumn with its famous illuminations and new ‘Lightpool’.

Blackpool Illuminations are one of the most iconic sights in British culture and this year’s spectacular promises to be the best ever with this year’s ‘Lightpool’ showcasing the town’s new cultural focus.

The September 4 switch-on introduces ‘Lightpool’ designed by WarPro and The Projection Studio – masterminds behind world famous events like the World Cup and the Olympic Games.

New large scale projection mapping technology will transform the six-mile stretch of Promenade as well highlighting a stunning 3D projection show onto the Blackpool Tower buildings. Blackpool Illuminations run until November 8.

Ribby Hall Village, just 10 minutes from the bright lights of Blackpool, is offering illumination family breaks where activities include glow-in-the-dark party mania, illuminations game show and quiz, glow shop goodies and messy play with glow in the dark paints.

Ribby Hall Village, a luxury self-catering holiday village on Lancashire’s Fylde Coast, is set in 100 acres of landscaped grounds. There is plenty for the family to explore with a woodland trail, adventure playground, horse riding, cycling, and boating lake. There is also a wide range of indoor facilities including a pool, bars and restaurant.

Accommodation includes modern, self-catering cottages, pine lodges with hot tubs and three larger bespoke properties each in their own private grounds. For a child-free break there is also the adult-only SPA Hotel.

The Village also runs a timetable of activities to entertain the whole family including fencing, laser tag, mad science, multi sports, gymnastics, water walkerz, balance bikes, art and craft classes and dance classes.
