Bob over to St Moritz

If you like a winter holiday but want something more to do than just skiing, why not try St Moritz, home to the world’s most famous bobsleigh course.

Constructed in 1903, it the course officially opened on New Year’s Day 1904 and is the oldest bobsleigh track in the world and the only one that it naturally refrigerated.

The town’s famous Kulm Hotel has just launched three packages to appeal to modern-day winter sports adrenaline junkies. They include:

The Cresta Run package – three nights’ B&B accommodation, lunch in the Sunny Bar and five Cresta rides, including tuition and post-run massages. The package costs £1,030 per person and is available from January 13, 2013 to February 8, 2013.

The Bob Taxi Ride package – two nights’ half-board accommodation, a bob taxi ride (with a certificate and an Olympic Bob Run pin), a relaxing 20-minute hydro jet Alpine herb bath and unlimited use of Kulm Spa St. Moritz.  The package costs £655 and is available on the same dates as the Cresta.

The Monobob package – two nights’ half-board accommodation, two monobob runs, lunch at the Bob restaurant, a curling lesson and an aperitif followed by dinner in the Sunny Bar, as well as unlimited use of Kulm Spa St. Moritz. The monbob is a run from the heart of St Moritz to the bottom of the valley where you reach 75 miles per hut and hit 3G! The package costs from £985 per person and is available  January 14-16  and February 24-26.
