Brian Mc gets on track

It’s a good time to be a former member of Westlife… while Nicky Byrne is tearing up the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing, Brian McFadden will be doing Christmas in the Outback, heading across Australia by train with a group of tourists.

McFadden, a judge on Australia’s Got Talent, will be taking the iconic Indian Pacific train (above) between December 5 to 8.

This annual Outback Christmas odyssey was originally introduced as a way of thanking communities along the Indian Pacific route for their longstanding support of the mighty train, and to spread the ‘spirit of Christmas’ across Australia. The event also raises awareness and funds for the Australian Royal Flying Doctor Service.

McFadden will perform some of his hits as well as songs from his new album, The Irish Connection, in free concerts staged at wayside Outback stops along the 4,352km transcontinental journey from Sydney to Perth.

“This is an incredible opportunity to see Australia and perform in some of the most remote parts of the country,” said McFadden, who will be joined by his new wife, DJ and model, Vogue Williams.

Members of the public are invited to attend the free concerts at Bathurst, Broken Hill, Watson, Rawlinna and Kalgoorlie.
