Auction house Christies has a ski sale on… but you won’t be able to bid on your latest holiday to the slopes!
The famed South Kensington auctioneers are selling a host of memorabilia from the golden days of Alpine travel in the first half of the 20th century.
The sale on January 23 will have more than 160 lots featuring classic ski posters and incredible pieces of vintage luggage, many still sporting luxury liner labels of stamped with the original owner’s initials.
Posters start from around £800 and feature famous resorts such as Gstaad, St Moritz, Davos and Chamonix, while luggage is estimated to sell for between £1,000 and £7,000.
