Hilton’s upscale brand DoubleTree has opened a new property in Dundee.

The hotel, formerly the Landmark Hotel, has undergone a £1m refurbishment to become Hilton’s third Scottish property and its 21st in the UK.

The hotel is set within the grounds of a converted private family residence whose original classical period design and intricate Latin inscriptions remain largely untouched.  The listed building dates back to 1870, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the elegance of Victorian high society.  Guests are free to explore the surrounding six acres of landscaped and maintained gardens complete with an ornate Italian style maze and fountain.

Located just off the A90, the main road into the city of Dundee, and only 3 kilometres from Dundee Airport the hotel provides an easily accessible location while maintaining a sense of heritage and nature. The surrounding region offers rich pickings for golfers with local courses including Downcraig, Scotsfield and Alyth. The legendary St Andrews Old Course, recognised as the spiritual home of the sport, is also a short drive across the Tay Bridge.
