If you’re up for a bit of spontaneity this summer, head over to the easyJet Holidays website and book a ‘surprise stay’ – and you could save up to 40 per cent off the price of a holiday.
The new booking option allows people to choose their destination and what star rating of hotel they want to go to – but they don’t find out which hotel it is until after they have booked. The fact that easyJet Holidays can then fill beds in certain hotels leads to the discount.
When searching for a hotel in a chosen destination, if a Surprise Stay is available, it will be listed along with the other hotel options and will tell you the star rating, location and what hotel facilities to expect. Holidaymakers will also be told how much they saving.
Examples of surprise stays include a 5* hotel in Crete (above) which can be booked in October for seven nights’ half-board for £293 – a saving of £272.
