Enjoy chic new party Scene with Thomson

Thomson

Thomson are going after young holidaymakers wanting the coolest party destinations by extending their collection of Scene hotels.

Sun seekers aged 18-35 who want chilled pool days with lively nights out will from next year be able to choose from 86 hotels in 34 resorts, in 20 destinations.

And they’ll suit all budgets. Scene Hub will offer lively, affordable hotels close to all the action and Scene Style is for those who prefer something a bit more stylish and enjoy the finer things in life.

The party islands of Ibiza and Corfu are in the frame as well as the chic hotspots of Santorini and Mykonos. Festival lovers can jet off to Croatia, home of the legendary Soundwave. There will also be lots of tailored excursions on offer for both Scene Hub and Style from party boats in Cyprus, scuba diving in Zante or visits to the famous Turkish mud baths. Long-haul destinations include Mexico, Goa and Thailand.

David Burling, MD for TUI, said: “It’s an exciting product. We will be now be catering for all ages between 18-35 whatever they enjoy doing. And the excursions will particularly showcase what Thomson can offer the young market. We have got some of the stylish, trendiest hotels in Europe.”

Miles the Bear

Thomson has also just launched a TV campaign Discover Your Smile which features a one-eyed bear Miles (anagram of smile).

The teddy, stuck in his humdrum life at home, finds his smile again after being taken on holiday to Jamaica!

The story is set to William Shatner’s version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. It evidently cost a six figure sum to use Queen’s lyrics and five figures for Shatner.

Miles’ bears will go on sale at the end of October for £8 with £2 from each sale going to the Family Holiday Association.

Jeremy Ellis, marketing and digital director at Thomson, said: “We wanted to make sure people related the smile in the TUI logo to the smile they can get from taking a memorable holiday with us.”
