In true Virgin Atlantic style, the new Clubhouse at Gatwick looks pretty cool and relaxing. You wouldn’t mind your flight being delayed by fog if you were hanging round here for a few hours, that’s for sure.
The airline has opened the swish Clubhouse, with floor to ceiling windows giving views across the runway, and check-in area at its new airport home in the North Terminal.
A marble bar is in the centre, where guests can sip their favourite Caribbean tipple before they even hit the beach. Virgin has partnered with East London cocktail bar White Lyan, to offer a bespoke selection of cocktails.
The spa area has doubled the number of treatment rooms so more customers can be pampered before flying. And the menu, including the famous Clubhouse burger, has a variety of breakfast and lunch options on the a la carte menu.
Children get their own woodland themed play area filled with toys and games to keep them entertained.
Virgin Atlantic chief Mark Anderson said: “We want our customers to have the best possible experience at the airport and those visiting the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will be in for a real treat. Our Gatwick customers travel to a variety of global destinations, and whether they’re planning to relax in the Caribbean or soak up the theme parks in Orlando, our new Clubhouse will make the start of any break truly special.”
