First pic and video of Busch Gardens’ amazing new ride

Falcon's Fury - tower

Hold on to your stomachs – an amazing new ride is coming to Busch Gardens Tampa. Falcon’s Fury will be the first drop tower of its kind in the world. mimicking the dive speeds of the fastest animal on earth. This is the first artist’s impression of the 335ft tower which will will dominate the Florida park next spring.

It looks amazing and will be the ultimate rise for thrill-seekers. At the top of Falcon’s Fury, like its bird of prey namesake, riders will pivot 90 degrees in midair to a face-down dive position. An instant later they’ll plunge 60 mph at 3.5 Gs straight down with speed and power like they’ve never experienced before. The falcon is the fastest animal on earth, reaching speeds of 200 mph.

The ride is being built in the Timbuktu area of Busch Gardens and will be visible from any location in the park and even across the Tampa Bay area. With no connecting structures, it will be the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America. Get ready to ride by watching this video on:

The new ride was unveiled yesterday along with the announcement that sister park SeaWorld will be celebrating its 50 anniversary in style. The original SeaWorld park opened in March 1964 on Mission Bay in San Diego. To commemorate, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment will launch a multi-park 50th celebration next year – Sea of Surprises.

From March 21, parks in San Diego, Orlando and San Antonio will invite guests to take part in the celebration through new interactive experiences, shows and pathway performances, even more up-close animal encounters and prizes every day.
