First pics: What the two new Universal Orlando hotels will look like

Superb news for families wanting to enjoy the theme capital of the world. Universal Orlando is opening two new hotels with rooms sleeping six from as little as £80 a night.

They will open in the summer of 2019 but you will be able to book from early next year.

The hotels will have a total of 2,800 rooms, including 1,450 two-bedroom suites designed to accommodate families of all sizes. Both options will be value-driven, with nightly rates starting below Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel.

Staying at the new hotels will give you early admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure or Universal’s Volcano Bay, complimentary transportation across the destination and resort-wide charging privileges.

The 750-room and 2,050-room hotels are being built on the old Wet ‘n Wild waterpark site and are just minutes away from Universal Orlando’s three theme parks and Universal CityWalk’s dining and entertainment complex.

Attractions will include three pools, two food courts offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and nearby coffee bars, plus poolside bars, fitness rooms, car rental facilities and more.

The design of the hotels features towering exterior murals with vibrant and natural colours, setting a free-spirited and beauty tone.

On a 64-acre site at the intersection of Universal Boulevard and International Drive, they become the destination’s seventh and eighth hotels.
