Flybe sale offers passengers a tax rebate

Flybe sale

The Flybe sale is offering passengers a ‘tax rebate’ with the airline paying the government’s Air Passenger Duty for tickets bought online.

The sale will last for five days (from today, September 6 to Tuesday September 10, 2013) and will slash up to £26 off return fares on the airline’s 108 routes during the period September 28 to December 14.

The seat sale is also designed  to highlight the APD tax, which the airline believes is unfair.

The airline’s Simon Lilley said:  “Many of our passengers need to travel within the UK for business; others choose to fly rather than use any other method of transport when visiting friends and family or simply have no other affordable and convenient travel option.  Our first APD ‘Tax Rebate’ promotion back in the Spring was extremely popular and so, in response to customer demand and in line with our continued commitment to offer ‘Great Prices for Great Britain’, we are repeating the offer for bookings made this weekend allowing passengers to fly from as little as £12.99.”
