Terrifying tours of Haddon Hall

Visit one of England’s oldest houses this Halloween and prepare for a spookfest.

Haddon Hall in Derbyshire is offering terrifying tours over October 30 and 31 and performers from Artistic Projects will be ushering visitors through shuttered rooms to parts of the house that are not normally open to the public.

For those who haven’t left screaming through the gates, there will also be performances in a Theatre in the Dark. Promising to play on the imagination, it’s not for those with a nervous disposition – in its secluded location, the screams won’t be heard.

A devilishly-delicious themed menu will also be available in the Restaurant, but fear not, vegetarian options are also available. Specially-created by the Coven at Haddon, options will include Ectoplasm of Soup (homemade spinach soup), Ghoulie Goulash (sweet potato, chick peas, tomatoes and smoked paprika, topped with a spell of halloumi cheese) and Death by Chocolate (rich chocolate gateau with hokey-pokey ice cream), all served by a lively skeleton staff.

Tours will run at timed interval slots every 15 minutes between 7pm and 8pm and the entertainment will last around 75 minutes. Some walking is required, but seating will be provided along the way.

Tickets are £20 each and must be booked in advance.
