Hotspot deals to banish Blue Monday

Cheer yourself up on Blue Monday by booking a holiday. Next Monday, January 21, is said to be the most depressing of the year – New Year celebrations are well and truly over, resolutions have hit the skids and the weather is cold and bleak. And that, say holiday companies, is when we all need a pick-me-up and there’s no better one than having a holiday to look forward to.

BA Holidays has a sale but be quick, it ends on Tuesday the 22nd. MD Claire Bentley said: “With the full brunt of the winter weather hitting the country, we know how important it is to have some relaxing time in the sun to look forward to. Since Christmas, we’ve seen thousands book much-needed breaks in top holiday hotspots, from Orlando to Barbados from Las Vegas to Barcelona and Dubai to St Lucia.”

Deals include: New York from £499 including flights and three nights in a three-star hotel; the Dominican Republic with seven nights all-inclusive in a four-star hotel for £729, flights to Florida and a week’s car hire from £449 and a week in Faro with flights and accommodation in a three-star hotel from £165. If you want to splash out head to the five-star Sandals Grande Riviera Beach and Villa Golf Resort. Seven nights all-inclusive with BA flights from Gatwick from £1,849 per person.
