How to Bond with the kids

Aston Martin DB5 (1964) from Goldfinger and Thunderball

Spend a day in the fast track over half-term. The world-famous National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, is building a massive eight-lane Scalextric track with Bond-style Aston Martins to race round it.

Each day from February 16-24, youngsters aged 16 and under can compete for the fastest track time of the day and win great Scalextric prizes.

This year Beaulieu, in the New Forest National Park, is hosting the world’s largest James Bond vehicle exhibition, BOND IN MOTION, with high-speed bikes and cars straight from the set of Skyfall. The Bond in Motion exhibition features 50 of the most iconic Bond cars, including the  1964 DB5 from Goldfinger and Thunderball, to celebrate 50 years of 007.

Test your knowledge of the world’s most famous special agent with a special half-term quiz trail which takes you round the exhibition. Try your code-cracking skills and win a Bond goody bag. See some of the best-loved and most iconic vehicles including the Lotus Esprit S1, affectionately nicknamed ‘Wet Nellie’ from The Spy Who Loved Me, the Crocodile Submarine from Octopussy and the Aston Martin Vanquish with adaptive camouflage seen in Die Another Day.
