Also, you can apply for a one year extension to the Working Holiday Visa if you work in regional Australia for at least three months doing specified work such as fruit picking or outback cattle station work – terms and conditions apply.

The number of Brits travelling to Australia on Working Holiday Visa’s each year is continuing to increase with fantastic job opportunities available across the country. There was a total of 38,782 first year Working Holiday Visas granted in the UK for the 12 month period ending June 2013, representing an increase of 8.6%.  The positive trend continues with a large increase in second year Working Holiday Visa grants (see below for details on the one year extension), up 22% at 7,349, for the year ending June 2013.
