Tourism Australia has listed details about how to get a How to get an Australian working holiday visa for a year with the possibility of extending it to two.

But here’s the basic facts about the Working Holiday Visa which you can apply for on www.immi.gov.au:
- You can apply for the visa if you’re aged between 18-30
- You can enter Australia within 12 months of getting the visa
- You have to be outside of Australia to apply for the visa
- You can stay in Australia for up to 12 months, leaving and re-entering as many times as you like during that 12 month period
- You can work with the same employer for up to six months

Also, you can apply for a one year extension to the Working Holiday Visa if you work in regional Australia for at least three months doing specified work such as fruit picking or outback cattle station work – terms and conditions apply.
The number of Brits travelling to Australia on Working Holiday Visa’s each year is continuing to increase with fantastic job opportunities available across the country. There was a total of 38,782 first year Working Holiday Visas granted in the UK for the 12 month period ending June 2013, representing an increase of 8.6%. The positive trend continues with a large increase in second year Working Holiday Visa grants (see below for details on the one year extension), up 22% at 7,349, for the year ending June 2013.
