Caribbean cricket bootcamp

If you’ve been inspired by the Ashes victory over Australia, this Caribbean cricket bootcamp holiday could be just for you.

The bootcamp, held from from December 26 to January 6, at Buccament Bay Resort in St Vincent and the Grenadines will be headed up by cricketing legend Martin Bucknell.

The former Surrey and England cricketer played four test matches and reached 1,000 first class wickets for his county, Surrey, so is ideally placed as the Sports Academy’s cricket expert.

Bicknell is one of a series of guest coaches who will be at the five star resort’s sports academy this year. Confirmed sporting legends for the rest of the year include footballer Teddy Sheringham and rugby players Martyn Williams and Rob Howley.

Is sport is not your thing, budding thespians can join the resort’s theatre school which will see workshops run by West End lead, Phil Cavil of Les Miserables fame.

Cricket Coaching at Buccament Bay Resort is available for children aged eight and over and will take place on five days out of every seven for one hour each day.  Coaches teach key bowling and batting skills as well as the technical, tactical, physical, mental and social elements of the game.

Letsgo2 has seven nights’ all inclusive at Buccament Bay from £2,899 per person based on two adults sharing a one-bedroom Garden Villa, including flights from Gatwick on December 30.
