KL at the double

Malaysia Airlines will operate two Airbus A380 flights a day between Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur from November 24.

The new Airbus A380 service follows the successful introduction of the first daily A380 flight to the Malaysia capital this summer, with the superjumbo due to replace the existing B747 aircraft.

The A380 has 494 seats with 350 economy and eight fully flat first-class seats on the main deck, and 66 fully flat business class and 70 economy seats on the upper deck. Highlights include the widest first-class seats of any plane in the skies at 40 inches, an easy-to-use Thales touch-screen, on-demand in-flight entertainment system and USB port and satellite phone facilities at every seat in every class.

The airline’s onward destinations include: Malaysia (Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan Kuching); Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney); New Zealand (Auckland); Bali (Denpasar); Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket); Myanmar (Yangon); Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho-Chi Minh City); Cambodia (Siem Reap, Phnom Penh) and Singapore.
