Manchester Airport and Virgin Atlantic are joining forces this Halloween by launching a spooky social media giveaway, with the prize of two tickets to Orlando.

Aptly named #TrickOrTweet they are asking followers of @MANAirport to share the biggest tricks, or treats, they have played on their loved ones, friends, family members or colleagues by using the hashtag. At the end of the day on October 31, the best will win return flights to America from Manchester.

In addition, hourly spot prizes from Virgin Atlantic and Manchester Airport will also be given away. To win one of the those, Manchester Airport will be issuing a series of questions about Halloween, the airport and Virgin Atlantic – in order to win, participants will have to guess whether it is a trick or a tweet.

Manchester Airport boss Jeff Howarth said: “Halloween is the second biggest celebration in the UK after Christmas and we couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion than to have a little ghoulish fun alongside Virgin Atlantic.

“The prize to the USA is incredible, where Halloween is done to the maximum. We’re delighted to be working with Virgin Atlantic who is committed to working with us on its long haul destinations, with direct flights to Orlando, Las Vegas and Barbados. Plus from March next year, Virgin will have direct flights to Atlanta, proving just how strong the Manchester market is for them.”

A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “This is a great way to celebrate Halloween with a trip to the US, where Halloween is huge. We are delighted to be supporting Manchester Airport with this innovative and exciting competition. We encourage all followers of @VirginAtlantic to join in to win one of the prizes.”
