New Arctic trips from Quark

quark expeditions

There are new Arctic trips from Quark Expeditions in 2016. The polar holidays company is offering trips including a fly/cruise option, a Greenland spotlight, a Northwest Passage trip, and a journey that crosses the Arctic Circle from Scotland.

The fly-cruise options include:

* 13-day Arctic Express: Greenland’s Northern Lights (Cruise North, Fly South)

* 10-day Arctic Express: Greenland’s Northern Lights (Fly North, Fly South)

* 13-day Arctic Express: Greenland’s Northern Lights (Fly North, Cruise South)

with prices starting from £4,100 for the 10-day Arctic Express.

New itineraries aboard the small ship Sea Adventurer include a 13-day voyage to the seldom-visited lands of the Arctic Archipelagos: Spitsbergen and Franz Josef Land voyage, and 13-day Greenland to Canada: Inuit, Ice and Wildfire adventure departing from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

The popularity of the Northwest Passage, spurred by the recent discovery of the Franklin Expedition’s lost HMS Erebus ship, has resulted in the addition of another voyage, the in-depth 20-day Northwest Passage: Fury and Hecla expedition.

The adventure ship Ocean Nova is home base for Greenland fly/cruise passengers, and sees the addition of Scotland to Spitsbergen: Across the Arctic Circle, an expedition of the northern Atlantic offering a taste of Norse and Viking history, the exceptional landscape of the Norwegian Fjords, and plentiful opportunities to view rare birdlife.
