The amazing Red Arrows flew over thousands of people at Blackpool Pleasure Beach to launch the new £2m rollercoaster bearing their name.

The 72ft high Red Arrows Skyforce, in the shadow of the Big One roller coaster,  is a 12-seat white-knuckle ride which takes you on a 360-degree tour of the skies. Stepping into your cockpit, you take control of the aeroplane and spin, glide and take formation in your very own display.

Red Arrows Skyforce takes you on an airborne adventure, spinning, swirling and exciting the senses while you and your fellow pilots take control of their own flights before touching down. There’s also a dedicated shop, featuring exclusive merchandise and souvenirs designed for Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The ride took its maiden voyage with a special guest, Squadron Leader Mike Ling – better known as Red 10. And one of the first official rides on Red Arrows Skyforce was taken by 177 Blackpool Airport Air Cadets who were representing our pilots of tomorrow.

Complete in Red Arrows livery, the new ride also features its own control tower from which novice pilots will be prepared for take-off.
