Run after Mo to New Orleans

Mo Farah

Go Mo, go! London Olympics gold medallist Mo Farah is running in the Rock ‘n’ Roll New Orleans half marathon on February 24. Mo said: “I’m excited to be racing at my first Rock ‘n’ Roll half-marathon. I’ve heard great things about the races and understand the course is fast and flat. I’m sure the competition is going to be strong.”

Mo will have the chance to visit iconic landmarks in the city such as the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, the Mecedes-Benz Superdome, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, Café du Monde, Canal Street, the Garden District and Audubon Zoo.

Jody Hanson, marketing director for Louisiana & New Orleans said: “Mo will be welcomed with open arms by the city of New Orleans. To have him at this race is fantastic for its legacy and it will be his first run back in North America since his ground-breaking wins at the London Olympics. We are excited that he’ll be running here in one of the USA’s most charismatic and colourful destinations.”
