Siam Park in Tenerife has been voted one of the best waterparks in Europe. It has been given the “European Star Award” by German magazine Kirmes & Park Revue which also judges parks in America. One of its signature rides, the Dragon, was also awarded “European Best Water Slide”.
Siam Park, near Playa de Las Américas, is Europe’s largest waterpark and this summer opened two new attractions. Kinnaree is an incredible 200-metre-long slide with high speeds showcasing how it feels to be caught in a tornado wave and Sawasdee (welcome in Thai), is a new children’s fun area. Other attractions include the daring Tower of Power (above), Wave Palace, a pool producing 42 different types of waves, the kids’ area Lost City and Siam Beach – the whitest sandy beach in the Canary Islands.
Siam Park opens daily during this winter from 10am to 5pm and offers a free shuttle service from Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and Costa Adeje. Adult ticket costs 33€ (£22) and child (3-11) 22€ (£18). Visit www.siampark.net/en/
