It is annoying when you arrive at a holiday destination in the morning but can’t check in to your hotel until the afternoon. Virgin Holidays has come up with the answer by launching a new arrivals lounge at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai.
Flights from the UK land in Dubai early in the morning and with hotel rooms not available until late afternoon, many holidaymakers can’t make the most of their first day.
The new lounge, called v-hub, is in the Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis The Palm – the most iconic hotel in the Dubai region welcoming tens of thousands of British travellers each year.
Upon arrival at Atlantis The Palm, guests will be welcomed and checked in at reception – before grabbing their swimmies and jumping on a buggy to Aquaventure waterpark where they can swim and slide to their hearts content.
They can kick back and relax – ready to be notified when luggage has been delivered to their freshly prepared room.
Features of the v-hub include:
A slick, sophisticated lounge area where guests can relax with a morning coffee, magazines and games consoles
Access to convenient shower facilities where customers can freshen-up after their long-flight
Secure lockers to store hand-luggage or valuables
Virgin Holidays reps who can book excursions, provide an orientation of the hotel, and make meal reservations at one of the 23 on-site restaurants
Access to Aquaventure at Atlantis where you can slip and slide with thrilling water rides, or catch-up on sleep with 700 metres of private beach.
Nicki Goldsmith of Virgin Holidays says: “We’ve all experienced the frustration you feel after a long flight, when you arrive at your hotel and your room isn’t ready.
“Travellers want to make the most of every moment they’re away including the all-important first day! The v-hub will help make the time spent waiting time for your room as enjoyable as possible with holidaymakers encouraged to slap on their swim-gear and head straight out to Aquaventure at Atlantis.”
