Gumbet, a beachside gem: Located on the south west coast of Turkey, Gumbet offers an enticing mix of sun, sea, sand and lively nightlife. Not quite as full-on as Magaluf but in recent times, the resort has been labelled the new “frontier for lads’ holidays”. The hot summer season runs until October and prices are a dream just now. You won’t get lost finding the bars and cafes as the aptly named ‘Bar Street’ lines the beach. And it’s also a stunning place to be – set amongst lush green scenery, with rolling hills and deep valleys in the background.
The Algarve, a golfer’s paradise: If a more relaxing break is on the bill then the Algarve has it all – luxury resorts, award-winning golf courses and a fantastic climate. A holiday favourite with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lenny Kravitz, you can spend a couple of days chilling on the beach before getting down to some serious extreme sports like kite surfing, rock climbing and wakeboarding.
