Try this new calculator to cure jet lag

Do you suffer jet lag after taking a long-hault flight? A black-out blinds company has designed a Jet Lag calculator to help travellers get their body clock back on track.

You pop your flight destination, departure and arrival times and normal sleep times into the Calculator and it gives you a pre-travel plan.

The calculator analyses the number of time zones the person’s flight crosses to work out how many hours they will have to shift their body clock by to get over jet lag. It also uses the direction of travel to work out how many hours they can move their body clock each day (one hour for eastward travel and two hours for westward travel).

Your day-by-day plan starts around three days before travel. On each person’s individual schedule, they will see directions and advice about when to seek and avoid light (i.e. stay awake and sleep).

Kirsty Martin, of Web-Blinds.com, said: “Feeling tired and irritable because of jet-lag is no way to start a holiday or important business trip. In fact, if it does strike then your whole break could ultimately be spent trying to get over the worst of the symptoms.

“Here at Web-Blinds, we consider ourselves experts in helping ensure our customers enjoy undisturbed and peaceful sleep, and wanted to offer a solution to travellers wary of experiencing unnecessary jet-lag.

“The Jet Lag Calculator uses your flight details and your normal sleeping pattern to work out an easy way for you to move your body clock from your departure time to your destination time. All you have to do is seek and avoid light when shown on your unique plan and you’ll enjoy a happier trip free from grogginess!”
