It’s nearly Mardi Gras time at Universal Orlando and they’ve got 14 nights of electrifying live concerts lined up. On select nights from February 9 to April 20, there’s a family-friendly version of the Mardi Gras bash at Universal Studios Florida. Besides the normal theme park entertainment and concerts, there will be a dazzling parade, authentic New Orleans musicians, mouthwatering Cajun cuisine and tons of glittering Mardi Gras beads.
This year’s talent line-up ranges from Americana rock to soulful R&B to upbeat pop to Latin rhythms. Guests can return night after night to hear their favourite performers, including internationally-renowned rapper Pitbull – whose No1 single, Give Me Everything, was named “Top Radio Song” in the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in the US; 2012 People’s Choice award-winner Demi Lovato for “Favourite Pop Artist”; alternative rock band Matchbox Twenty, whose latest studio album, “North,” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and other favourites such as Sean Kingston and Trey Songz.
