Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic has introduced boarding cards through mobile phones.
Using the Passbook app on iPhone or iPod touch, passengers can now take a totally paperless journey through the airport.
Passengers will be able to opt-in to the process at check-in, enabling them to by-pass check-in kiosks and head straight to security or via baggage drop if carrying luggage.
