Walk Heligan rope bridge like Prince Charles – and YourHols Trisha!

The bridge stretches 100ft across the Heligan Jungle in the Cornish Lost Gardens of Heligan which were rediscovered 25 years ago.

Prince Charles walked over to celebrate the anniversary. The bridge is one of the longest rope bridges in the county and is suspended above ancient tree ferns and the Jungle’s lake.

YourHols Trisha says: “It’s a really fun thing to do and is quite tricky. Charles would have had to watch his footing as the challenge is not to fall! The gardens are extraordinarily beautiful and they make a great day out.”

Heligan is the only Cornish Garden with its own jungle and visitors can explore the tunnels of towering bamboo. The jungle sits in a steep-sided valley, creating a microclimate at least five degrees warmer than Heligan’s Northern Gardens. The exotic plants come from across the world, and are a combination of those planted by the intrepid Victorian plant hunters and more recent collectors.

Adults £12.50, seniors £10.50, children 5-17 £6.00, under 5’s go free. For see Heligan Gardens
