Walk round London with Christopher Biggins

Christopher Biggins

He’s a national treasure with a unique voice and now Christopher Biggins is showing people around London. Well, his guided tours on a new Cities Talking app are directing visitors around the capital.

Biggins has narrated four of the walks.. Power and Places, Art and the Underworld, Trafalgar Square to St Paul’s and Kings and Democracy. You’ll learn all about the history of landmarks on the tour and discover hidden gems along the way.

And in true Biggins style they are warm and witty. He ends one tour by saying: “We have now reached the end of this walk. Head immediately to the nearest pub for a well-earned pint. Mine’s a gin and tonic. See you on the next walk!”

The app –  available to download for free on iOS and Android devices – allows users to explore destinations at their own pace with pause-play options and GPS tracking to ensure tourists don’t get lost.

Tours, costing £4.99, can be downloaded before heading out so they run straight off the phone, meaning you don’t need a mobile data connection to enjoy them while on the go. Cities Talking has 40 customised tours across 28 cities in Europe and America.

Bestselling author Kathy Lette has written a number of the tours to ensure their content matches the entertaining voices of the guides.
