500-calorie meal? It’s elementary

Most of us are going to need it after turkey and Christmas pud – a three-course meal for less than 500 calories. Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes’ Hotel has prepared a new low-calorie menu just in time for the New Year detox.

From January 7, health-conscious diners will be able to enjoy a delicious three-course meal at the boutique hotel’s AA Rosette award-winning restaurant, The Grill, for less than 500 calories. A small glass of wine will take the total to 675!

You’ll be able to tuck into starters such as wild mushroom and truffle soup, main courses of pan-fried turkey escallops or grilled salmon fillet and desserts including mango and raspberry mousse with chocolate sauce.

Michelle Wells, general manager of the hotel in London’s Baker Street, said: “After the indulgent Christmas period our guests are looking for healthier choices in January, which still allow them to enjoy a meal out and celebrate the start of a new year. With this is mind we’ve created our new low-calorie menu, which features substantial dishes that will appeal to everyone but without compromising on taste.”

The menu is available until February 14 and costs £15 for two courses or £18 for three. The hotel is close to Madame Tussauds, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Marylebone High Street and Oxford Street.
