Childcare holiday service Holiday Nanny has launched a new venture – Holiday Mannies!
The company has launched the male nannies to help look after families who want a male influence around and the mannies come from a range of backgrounds, including sports and swimming coaches, drama teachers and even a surfing coach. There are also mannies with experience of helping children with special needs, both mental and physical.
The mannies are already getting bookings and aren’t just for families with boys. Single mum Catherine Wilson says: “I have three girls and having a male holiday nanny was a great idea – Nick was proactive and practical but also fun and outgoing – he also helped re-dress the female:male balance in our family!”
Holiday Nanny retains a small pool of childcare professionals who offer short-term help, accompanying families while they travel – either abroad or within the UK.
Standard fees are currently £469 for one week, or £883 for a fortnight. This includes 45 hours of childcare per week plus a total of 14 hours evening babysitting spread over four nights. Families pay additionally for flights, food and accommodation for their nanny.
