Brits go the extra mile… high

Were you a fan of trash TV show Mile High that depicted the racy lives of cabin crew? It seems more Brits were then we thought.

According to a new survey, cabin crew from around the globe have spilled the beans and name Brits as the nation most likely to join the mile high club.

However, the survey of more than 700 crew members revealed that it’s not only British flyers that are enjoying a bit of mischief while they are six miles high in the sky. Australians, Germans, French and Brazilians make up the top five friskiest flyers in the survey.

Seen by many as one of the most glamorous and desirable jobs, cabin crew meet and greet people from all walks of life. However, with nearly three million people sat in the sky every day, cabin crew also receive their fair share of chat-up lines and advances from passengers.

Three quarters say they have been asked out on a date by a passenger during a flight. And clearly many a romance has blossomed in the air as 14 per cent of those who report being asked on a date, accepted.

Skyscanner’s own former air hostess Karin Noble said: “People often become bored and restless during the flight, especially if they’re travelling long haul so to ease the boredom, some do certainly try a bit of in-flight entertainment of their own and our survey shows that it is the Brits who go the extra mile!”
