Celebrate International Tiger Day at Drayton Manor theme park

International Tiger Day

It’s hot, hot, hot: Sumatran tigers Dua and Dora cool down at the zoo

It’s International Tiger Day on Sunday, July 29, and Drayton Manor theme park is celebrating all-things tiger!

The park will be hosting activities to help raise vital funds for the WildCats Conservation Alliance whose mission is to save wild tigers for future generations by funding carefully chosen conservation projects.

Home to Dua and Dora, two endangered Sumatran tigers, Drayton Manor Zoo, in Tamworth, Staffs, raised £2,550 through its fundraising last year and hopes to beat that on International Tiger Day this year.

Visitors can get involved in tiger face painting, completing the Tiger Trail, tiger themed games, talks and enrichment but in addition to the fundraising activities the Drayton Manor team will also be completing a 400-mile bike ride on Saturday and Sunday to represent the approximate number of Sumatran Tigers left in the wild.

TOP TIP: The best time to catch a glimpse of the Tigers at Drayton Manor Park is first thing in the morning. If you are at the park and waiting for the rides to open, head down to the Zoo and meet Dua and Dora?
