Holiday company Club Med is to open the world’s first crowd-sourced resort.

The sun and snow specialists, who offer purpose-built resorts that appeal to families has launched a Facebook app so its customers can help design the new snow resort in Vals Thorens which is to open in December.

My Val Thorens is available to customers in 13 countries and allows users to help design the resort before its official opening at the end of this year.

Every two weeks, users will be able to submit eight votes around the resort’s features including its logo, interior design, dress codes and the activities which will be available. The app also allows its users to explore the resort as they vote.

Club Med fans are able to vote through the app until May 1 and each vote by participants will enter them into a final draw in May from which a winner will be chosen on May 17.
