Get 10 per cent off winter and summer holidays in The Co-operative Travel from Boxing Day as the traditional, peak holiday booking season gets underway.

Joanna Wild, of the Co-op, said: “This year our discount applies to both winter late deals and summer holidays, which is great news for people who need a sunshine pick-me-up to banish those winter blues after the excitement of Christmas fades. We have one of the largest choices of holiday providers, so customers can book with confidence knowing that we will have trawled the market for them to find the perfect break at the perfect price.

“We predict that adventure holidays, themed breaks and long stay holidays will be the up and coming holiday trends in 2013 as the over 50s age group look to broaden their horizons with more and more exciting destinations and tours, and are the ones with the spending power and free time to enjoy long stays and adventurous escapades.”

Customers booking in a Co-operative Travel store also earn membership points (1 point for every £2 spent) which result in a dividend of profits twice a year. It’s predicted that long haul operators such as Thomas Cook Signature, Virgin and Kuoni will tempt customers to faraway shores by offsetting the cost of Air Passenger Duty within the New Year discounts.
