Devon food and drink festival

When we really do have to let go of summer, kick start autumn with a break to Devon food and drink festival. Abbfest is being held at the Fermoys Garden Centre in Newton Abbot from September 20-22.

The event features more than 60 food, arts and crafts stalls and there’s a chance to taste a great range of Devon ales and ciders while munching you way through traditional Devon cuisine.

Stalls include handmade chocolates, jewellery and mosaics, fabrics, seafood, and fresh farm produce. There’s plenty of entertainment for the whole family with cookery demos and live music and popular bands on the Friday and Saturday evenings. A weekend pass, valid Friday to Sunday, costs £7 and children under 16 get in for free . See www.abbfest.org
