Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks will be bigger and better next year. They are spending £4 million on new entertainment and accommodation.

Most of the money will go on Woolacombe Bay Holiday Village where the entertainment complex is being revamped to include an all-day cafe with sea view terrace, an entertainment lounge and bar, a cinema, children’s soft play area, fitness gym plus an indoor pool with fun water features and a family changing village.

Kevin Darvill, sales and marketing director of the Devon parks, said: “Generations of families have enjoyed holidays at our park, but it’s time for an update with new facilities, more space and a true style injection.

“We are taking the existing building, scooping out the insides, extending it and giving it a whole new layout, one that will really make the most of the amazing sea views.”

New accommodation includes ultra-premium lodges – each with a private hot tub – along with holiday homes including luxurious Platinum models with central heating and double glazing.

Early booking offers, by October 31, include savings of up to 35% which means a family of four can enjoy a four-night break next year in a Beach Retreat caravan holiday home from £78.

Free activities include heated indoor and outdoor pools, multi-lane slide flumes, splash pads – with water jets and interactive fountains – tennis, fishing, indoor play areas, mini golf and steam rooms and saunas.  Children’s clubs for all ages and evening entertainment are also free.

Other facilities – at a modest charge – include a heated surfing simulator, high ropes course, 10-pin bowling alley, spa treatments, professional golf on a nine-hole course, pottery painting studio and a 3D cinema.
