Devonshire Food Festival in November

Devonshire Food Festival

It might seem strange that it’s held in Yorkshire, but the third annual Devonshire Food Festival takes place next month.

Held on the Duke of Devonshire’s Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales, the festival from November 18 -24 will see a host of Michelin-starred chefs on show at the gorgeous Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel outside Skipton.

The week will include a variety of live chef demos, light-hearted lunches, afternoon teas, Michelin star dinners, and Chef v. Chef Events – where two chefs compete against one another to win diners’ votes.

Chefs confirmed for this year’s culinary extravaganza include Adam Smith, the new head chef at the hotel’s Burlington restaurant, Swinton Park’s 3 AA Rosette Award-winning Head Chef, Simon Crannage, Head Chef at The Devonshire Fell, Oliver Adams, and ‘Great British Menu’ contestant and local chef, Stephanie Moon.

The Chef vs. Chef Lunches will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Burlington – where guests can sample a mystery menu without knowing which chef it was prepared by. The winner of the light-hearted challenge is whoever’s dish receives the most votes from diners after the lunch. Guests can also meet the chefs behind their dishes with an informal meet and greet session afterwards.

They will include menus cooked by Cinnamon Club Head Chef Rakesh Ravindran, Head Chef at Anthony’s Restaurant Anthony Flinn, and Montagu Arms Head Chef Matthew Tomkinson.

Lunches are £39 per person and dinners £59 per person, with both prices including a welcome drink.Doubles at the hotel are from £99 per night.
