easyJet Holidays’ new Spanish deal

easyJet Holidays is now selling short breaks and holidays to 94 Spanish Paradores hotels. The airline has teamed up with the hotel company which specialises in unique, stylish properties on mainland Spain and the Canary Isles.

Paul Simmons, easyJet UK Director: “We are extremely excited to be the first airline to bring Paradores to our customers via this partnership. It further strengthens our presence in Spain and offers even more choice via a well respected and sought after hospitality brand that is synonymous with the country.

“The unique characteristics and breadth of variety presented by Paradores, fit well with the easyJet philosophy of enabling passengers to make individual travel choices that suit their needs, easily and affordably.”No two Paradores hotels are the same, ranging from mountainside estates to coastal retreats, many in buildings of historic significance, and others sleek and contemporary.

easyJet already flies 13 million people from 11 UK airports to 19 destinations in Spain every year. The new deal will increase numbers while offering new holiday options – cultural routes, wine trails, spa retreats, golf courses, beaches and nature reserves, as well as Spain’s landmark cities and lesser known historic towns.

Packages include four nights room-only at the four-star Parador de Vic-Sau (above) costs £283 per person including flights from Gatwick to Barcelona on May 11. The property is in a beautiful natural setting in the Osona area with the Guillerias mountains in the background and the Sau reservoir at its feet. It is ideal for outdoor and adventure sports as well as for visiting old Romanesque churches.

Four nights B&B at the four-star Parador de Alcalá de Henares, departing from Liverpool on May 19 costs from £379 per person. This newly opened Parador is only 26km from Madrid and is a magnificent 17th century former Convent and School, overlooking the beautiful Patio Trilingue.

From next June, the airline will also be adding a Gatwick to Santiago, giving access to Santiago de Compostela – regarded as the most prestigious Paradores in the portfolio.
