Firefighters get in free to London Dungeon

Firefighters can get in to the London Dungeon for free during June.

To mark the 350th anniversary of The Great Fire of London and the 150th Anniversary of the London Fire Brigade, the free tickets for a ‘busman’s holiday’ are being handed out so firefighters can experience the Dungeon’s new attraction Escape the Great Fire.

The offer is valid for all current members of any UK Fire Service on presentation of their Firefighters’ ID throughout June.

London Dungeon boss Steve Blackburn says: “We are fortunate to have the Fire Service we do in London and the UK as it was a very different situation back in 1666.

“The spread of the Great Fire of London was stopped by volunteers pulling down houses and blowing them up with gunpowder! Thankfully the disaster changed things and we now have an amazing network of dedicated and brave firefighters committed to keeping the public safe.

“We wanted to pay tribute to them and we hope they come and enjoy the new show – and the rest of the attraction – on us.”

Escape the Great Fire is a new permanent addition to the London Dungeon recreating the drama of one of the world’s most famous disasters with live actors, themed settings and sizzling special effects.
