Follow TV Stevie to Spice Island

Top-class chef Stevie Parle takes you on a tour of Grenada on Channel 4 this Sunday. Owner of the fabulous Dock Kitchen in West London and food writer for The Telegraph, Stevie joins leading spice expert Emma Grazette (above) on the gorgeous Caribbean island.

The spotlight is on nutmeg and during their journey, “Spice Trip, Grenada” at 8pm, they visit three Peter de Savary properties including Azzura Castle, Mount Edgecombe and Mount Cinnamon.

If you want to follow in Stevie’s footsteps, Kisha Smith, general manager of Mount Cinnamon, has created a seven-day Epicurean Spice Experience, where you can see exotic spices cultivated, used in dishes and eat the final product. The package includes seven nights B&B at Mount Cinnamon Resort, an excursion to sister property and 17th century working plantation Mount Edgecombe, with garden walk, Grenadian masterclass and lunch. Chance to relax afterwards at the hillside infinity pool; two private cookery classes in the guest’s villa at Mount Cinnamon; visit to the famous Fish Friday Lime – a Caribbean tradition; Spice goodie bag with recipes and island and garden tours.

Price from £1,708 for a luxurious one-bedroom suite, based on two people sharing. Return flights from Gatwick with Virgin Atlantic from £615 per person.
