Get ready for Bluebell days

After the long, long cold snap, it looks like Spring may finally be upon us – and one way to celebrate is to head to Devon’s Hartland Abbey later this month.

The historic home is hosting two Bluebell Days on Sunday April 21 and 28 – and visitors get to see the beautiful grounds covered in bluebells at a reduced rate.

Paths lead through the bluebells from the house’s walled gardens to the sea, passing a number of the house’s sights along the way, including the Summerhouse, Gazebo and Barton Cottage, which was the home of the Dashwood family in the 2007 BBC production of Sense and Sensibility.

Entry to the grounds on both days is £4 for adults and £1 for children over five. Children under five go free. The Abbey, Shop & Museum are open from  12-4pm.
