Ghana go there on foot

 

Visit some of the most remote corners of the earth. Adventure travel specialist Explore has added 14 new tours to its Walking and Trekking collection including to Burma, Ghana, Georgia and southwest China.

Ghana and Togo on Foot: Visit local villages and markets, before watching a traditional fire dance in Togo. In Ghana, explore the pristine rainforest and walk on the longest and highest canopy bridge in the world (above); hike to the top of waterfalls and meet welcoming locals from nearby villages. The tour departs in August, October, November and December next year and costs from £2,375 per person including flights, B&B accommodation, 14 other meals, transport and the services of a tour leader, cook and local rangers.

On Foot in the Caucasus: This 16-day tour in Georgia takes you to two of the country’s most remote trekking regions – Kazbegi and Svaneti. Trekking through deep valleys, past villages and to dramatic glaciers, you’ll will get the chance to trek along the Truso Gorge to the carbonated lake; visit Uplistsikhre Cave town and trek to the base of Georgia’s highest mountain, Mount Shkhara (5,068m). There is also time to visit the city of Tbilisi and explore the caves of the Tskaltubo grotto. The tour departs in June next year and costs from £1,985 per person including flights, B&B accommodation, most other meals, transport and the services of a tour leader, driver and local guides.
