If you’re in Bournemouth today, look out for this penguin. If you are anywhere near Humbug, you won’t be able to miss him because he is the height of a single-decker bus.
He’s popping up at various locations in the south coast resort this month to celebrate the launch of Bournemouth Oceanarium’s new penguin enclosure, opening soon.
People who spot Humbug and photograph themselves with him are asked to share their image on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #BournemouthPenguin for the chance to win a family of four 2015 Silver Membership, an invite to a VIP family launch and a penguin themed goodie bag.
Sara Kirchel, Oceanarium marketing and PR manager, said: “The colony of penguins is going to make a great addition to the Oceanarium and excitement has been building since we made the announcement. We want to add to this buzz and get people involved in our giant penguin hunt around the region. We hope everyone has their cameras at the ready and we look forward to seeing the photographs.”
Humbug will appear this weekend and from July 17 to 19.
