If you’ve always wanted to see the Northern Lights, this year is definitely the time to do them with Nasa predicting that the Aurora Borealis will be the most stunning displays in years.

Taber Holiday, who specialise in Nordic Holidays, have just launched their brochure for this winter and trips include learning how to photograph the Northern Lights and glamping in the heart of Swedish Lapland.

New itineraries in the brochure include:

Sweden – ‘Aurora Safari Camp And Sami Adventure’– From £1,975pp

The Aurora Safari Camp allows people to spot the Northern Lights and have a night glamping in Arctic Sweden. Guests spend one night at this luxury camp in a traditional stove fire-heated Sami lavvu. Food is organic and local and meals are served with wine or beer. After a night spent in the wilderness, guests move onto the Sörbyn Lodge, where they can take part in a full day Sami adventure including a snowmobile expedition along the frozen Råne River. Optional excursions include a moose safari, snow shoe walk, cross country skiing, ice fishing and husky sledding.

Norway – ‘The Great Aurora Hunt’– From £1,575pp

This four-night break in Norway’s Lofoten Islands is led by veteran aurora photographer, Andy Keen with tuition by day and hunting and photographing the aurora by night. Highlights include three photography workshops instructing how to take pictures of the Northern Lights, land and seascapes and moving wildlife. There is also a full day tour exploring and photographing the Lofoten archipelago and a sea eagle and nature safari by boat.

Norway ‘Lyngen Lodge and the Lyngen Alps’ – From £1,468pp

This luxury four-night break at Norway’s Lyngen Lodge is perfect for a romantic getaway. Situated in secluded woodland overlooking the snow-capped Lyngen Alps and the Lyngenfjord, the lodge provides boutique accommodation with top quality cuisine, catering for just 18 guests. Optional excursions include snowshoeing, dog sledding, a sea safari, where you may get the chance to spot dolphins, ice fishing and cross-country skiing.
