Hagman honoured at Southfork

Southfork – the Texas ranch made famous by the TV series Dallas – is to honour JR actor Larry Hagman in December.

The star of the show – both back in the 80s and in the reprised Dallas this year – passed away last week after a battle with throat cancer proved his greatest foe.

The ranch will offer  complimentary tours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 2 and  memorial reception will follow, during which guests may leave cards, flowers, sign his memorial book and pay their respects to him.

“Larry infused much life and excitement into the show ‘Dallas’ and his dynamic personality and great sense of humor will never be forgotten,” said Jimmy Gomes, vice president, Forever Resorts who own the ranch. “To everyone here at Southfork Ranch, the recent filming of the new ‘Dallas’ series has felt like family coming home again. He will be greatly missed.”
