Happy Holi-day

Holi Day - Low Res

If you’re feeling dull and down today on Blue Monday, take a look at this lovely picture from Holi – the  festival of colours held every year in India after the full moon in March.

Celebrated on March 27 this year, people smear each other in coloured powders, throw coloured water at each other and dance and party under water sprinklers.

If you want to join in the fun – Encounters Travel is offering people the chance to get over for the celebrations for a knock-down price of just £549 per person.

starts with a visit to Old and New Delhi before heading to the UNESCO World Heritage site Agra Fort, the beautiful Taj Mahal at sunset, and then on to the mystical abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri and the Keoladeo National Park. The tour finishes at Delhi, after exploring the pink city of Jaipur and spending Holi at the nearby Amber Palace, where travellers can take an elephant ride, fly a kite, taste and buy delicious food and even take in a fun Bollywood movie!
