Ho ho holiday

No Christmas is complete without a visit to Santa. You can make it a special treat this year with Santas Lapland, which offers three and four-day holidays to see the big man in his Lapland home.

Melvin Westlake of Santas Lapland said: “There is nothing like seeing a child’s face light up during a private family meeting with Santa in his snow covered log cabin. Santa’s Lapland brings this magic to life, and we’re happy to see twice as many families booking this year compared with 2011.”

There’s another Arctic attraction this winter, a new “Igloo Fantasia”. Visitors, who already enjoy a full day’s activities in a snowy woodland, are taken by a reindeer-drawn sled to discover igloos containing an ice bar, ice sculptures, an Elf Wonderland Workshop, with games and an elf show.

Trips between December 1 and 23 cost from £678 per adult, with the first child travelling free and subsequent children paying from £439. Includes return flights, transfers, B&B hotel accommodation, a full day’s activities in a snowy woodland and a private family visit to meet Santa, with gifts for children aged 11 and under.
